Any area with a faint magic presence contains the past, from the moment of the arrival of magic to the place, to now.
The Wizard casts Guided Past to explore the past. But, to do so effectively, the exploration has to be guided. The Wizard guides his spell by announcing that: This person was present in the area This object was present in the area This event occurred some time ago (precision depends on the intelligence modifier)
This spell can be fooled by active illusion magic. The guided sentences can lead Guided Past to a fake illusion. If that is the case, the wizard will be fooled. However, if the fake illusion is in place, guided past does not automatically find it, if the guided words are true.
